Community Garden Plot

Our Community Garden has had a successful season, bringing people together with a shared purpose: growing fresh, healthy produce for our community.

While we enjoy watching the garden grow, one of the most rewarding aspects is knowing that much of our harvest will be donated to the local food bank, providing families with fresh vegetables.

A special thank you to Mary, a dedicated volunteer, whose generosity and community spirit has made a difference. Living just down the road from the garden, Mary was eager to help because she believed in contributing to a good cause. Many local residents also know Mary as the "Treat Lady" of Inverhuron, always ready with a dog treat for the neighbourhood's four-legged visitors—sometimes welcoming as many as 33 dogs in a single day!

Volunteers like Mary remind us that a community garden grows much more than vegetables.

It grows kindness, friendship, generosity, and a stronger sense of community.
