February is Inclusive Education Month, a time to celebrate diverse learning environments and reaffirm our commitment to education spaces where everyone is included. Inclusive Education Month recognizes that all students—regardless of ability or background—can learn, grow, and thrive together in welcoming, supportive communities.

To celebrate, our Inclusive Education Contest is back! We invite all schools, daycares, and educational organizations in the Township of Huron-Kinloss and the Municipality of Kincardine to showcase their inclusive practices for a chance to win a pizza party for their class.
Unsure of where to start? All year round, we offer a wide variety of Inclusive Education Kits filled with ready-to-use activities, lesson plans, and resources for all age groups. View and download the FREE kits at clkd.ca/inclusiveeducation.
Educators can submit photos, videos, stories, copies of completed assignments, or Inclusive Education Kit activities that show how inclusion is practiced or taught in their learning environment. Activities completed through our Inclusive Education Kits or previous Inclusive Education Guides can be submitted or used as inspiration for entries. All submissions will be shared online and entered into a draw at the end of the month.

Entries are open now until February 27, 2026, with the winning entry announced in early March.
Submissions should include:
School or organization name
Educator contact information
Grade level
Description of the inclusive activity
Photos and/or videos of the inclusive activity
Permission to share submission online
Submit entry by emailing jsharpe@clkd.ca. Submission deadline is February 27th, 2026.

Let’s celebrate inclusion, creativity, and the power of learning together.
